Technology Junkyard
is a full service Electronics & Technology service center local to Dent County,
Missouri Technology Junkyard was a spawn of Badcaps.net,
a business I founded in 2002 dedicated to the component level repair of
computer hardware. All the business generated from Badcaps.net
transpired online, there was no "brick & mortar" associated
with it. It dawned on me, given the prime commercial
location of Badcaps.net, why not open to the public and
offer even more services!
THINK LOCAL!! These days, it is
crucial to think
locally, many small businesses depend on it! We understand the challenges faced with any brick &
mortar, especially in this online world. It is always
nice to have a place where you know there's a person there
to help! I mean seriously, how frustrating is it when
you call "tech support" at the big-box online store and then
realize their first language isn't English....

with that old television or computer in your house that you've
been tripping over for ages? We can take it!
CERTIFIED DATA DESTRUCTION:
Have some old hard disk drives that have sensitive data on them
that you don't know what to do with? We can take care of
that too!!

Thank you for taking a peek! The
parent company of Technology Junkyard has been in existence
since 2002, and at our present location since 2005.
Technology Junkyard was established in late 2019, but the
website was just a big nothing. I received a phone call
from a potential customer early 2021 who said he went to the
site to find out what we were all about....and of course there
was a blank page. Some kind of design is long overdue!
Please excuse the crudity of this, I worked it up quickly just
to get something online! This was done in classic
HTML....any of you remember that?

Free
disposal of most electronics
Are you wondering what Technology Junkyard
does with the old electronics & computers we accept? We
refurbish & repurpose and then rehome as much of it as we possibly can.
However, sometimes it just can't be repaired or if it works it's
just completely worthless/useless. When we encounter the
'truly trash' devices, they are dismantled and properly disposed of
at responsible recycling centers & salvage facilities.
Just give us a call and tell us what you have!
When it comes to disposal, we dismantle the device in-house
and then utilize local scrappers to handle the hazardous materials
for proper environmentally-friendly disposal. The components
that can be reused are warehoused until the right person is found
that can use it.
