E-Waste Management Services:
Keeping tech out of landfills is one of my primary
objectives! If it can be refurbished/repaired and then re-homed,
that's the best form of recycling there is; keep it functioning &
useful versus trashing & replacing.

I am frequently asked if I accept CRT (tube-type)
televisions & monitors. I do accept them, but I can not take
them free. Unfortunately it costs me to properly dispose of
them, and I have to charge a fee to accept them. The fee
depends on the size. I do not accept appliances.
See table below for fee items.
People also ask if I recycle in-house.
The answer to that depends on what type of item it is. I
dismantle in-house, separate the pieces and send them to the
appropriate downstream facilities for proper disposal. Good
parts & pieces are rehomed, resold, or otherwise put back into
service. I am primarily a repair shop, but one of my favorite
things to do is refurbish tech that everyone has written off as
scrap. I do not do any 'smelting' or other chemical processes
used to recover precious metals such as gold or platinum.
I am also asked now & then if I purchase items. As a
rule, no. Broken & obsolete electronics really don't have any
real-world value until they are serviced, upgraded, and/or
refurbished. If its deemed salvage, then it has to be dismantled
& scrapped. I have to spend money & time to do this, therefore
I don't make any offers of payment for a device.
